Creating Lasting Changes and Building Healthy Communities in New York City
NEW YORK, NY, April 18, 2018 – Healthfirst, the largest not-for-profit health insurance company in New York City, is proud to partner with the American Heart Association for their Healthy For Good initiative. In celebration of Move More Month, which is a part of the Healthy For Good movement, Healthfirst will host a kickoff event on Wednesday, April 18 from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Van Dyke Community Center in Brooklyn.
Healthfirst celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Healthfirst was founded in 1993 as a not-for-profit corporation sponsored by New York's leading hospitals with a shared mission to improve patient health and well-being. Healthfirst's approach aligns incentives between the health plan and healthcare providers by returning to our sponsor hospitals the savings from higher quality and better care management.

Incorporating these small changes can make a big difference and can help prevent obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and stroke."
